Can a female cat dominate a male cat? Or do I need a kitten?

yeah, I would attempt to toilet train the new teenage kitten/cat, but I can accept defeat and kitty litter (swheat scoop) purchases. Our other cat was an outside cat, so, he wanted to go “out” to do his business,.. then , he would shrug and use the litter box/bowl/toilet bowl…. google toilet train mischa for more info. free. now, back to the topic in question…
thanks for your advice!
Must I only get a female cat or kitten companion for my nuetered male cat?
Details too long:
I have a very non dominating, very very very nurturing, loving, although very active and playful nuetered male cat. He is also very lonely. He meows at night (10, 11, 12, every hour on the hour) to alert me to the fact that there are “cats. outside. there are cats. outside. Cats! outside! Did you hear me, owner-mommy person? cats. outside.” I think he really wants to PLAY with them, not fight them. He looks scared when they fight. Maybe he lived in a house of many social cats before we rescued him (nuetered and FIV pos.) off the streets. My cat wakes me up, if my toddler child rolls over in her sleep (her bedroom door locks the cat out. thank you for your concern.). My cat wakes me up if there is a car- person passing by, bugs, a bat outside, smoke, flames, fire, boredom or hunger anywhere in my cat’s direction. (Yeah, he’s a little crazy!). I’d like to get him a playmate!! (sure, it won’t cure everything… but I Love him anyway! He’s still THE most awesome cat in the world! I challenge you! He’s even human toilet trained! honest!!
Must I only get a female cat? or may I consider a male cat? I **** to see him dominated. He is such a sweet gentle fellow. He always comes to me whenever my little human child cries or whimpers. He is a very caring cat. (with claws!) He never hurts my human child.
Oh yeah, the other cat must get along with my human child or he will be declawed. (yeah, me, BAD VEGAN< where are my PETA animal rights flyers???)
I'm just curious. Thank you for your advice! I need it!!!!!!
my cat is very tiny in size, too.
yeah, this is a very messy question. sorry. YA actually mixed it up! The toilet training part was the last part I wrote. I don't know why YA put it first. Honest!!
